About me

My name is Jenna and I've been knitting for over a decade. It all started when I was home for a break during college and found a pair of knitting needles and some yarn in the basement. I figured why not give it a shot, and after several failed attempts and many YouTube tutorials later, I was hooked (wait, sorry, wrong craft).

These days, I largely use knitting as a form of stress relief. There’s nothing quite like sitting down and knitting a few rows at the end of a stressful day.

I know I’m not alone in using knitting for this purpose, which is why I believe it’s so important that patterns be error-free and easy to follow, and why I love being the person that provides that quality check.

I understand how annoying it is to knit from a pattern that isn't correct, so I strive to ensure no knitter has to endure it.

An editor you can trust

I also know that designing a knitting pattern is no small endeavor, and designers put their heart and soul into every pattern. Handing over that document requires a level of trust, not just that all errors will be caught, but that edits are thoughtful and don’t alter the original vision and voice.

I strive to be that trustworthy editor that designers can feel confident about and rest assured that their work is in the hands of a knowledgeable professional.

Are we a good fit?

I specialize in editing accessories, and my absolute favorite patterns to edit are lace shawls because I love checking charts against their corresponding written instructions. It’s like those Highlights Magazine spot the difference puzzles from my childhood, but for adults. I’ve been training for this since age 7, and it’s kind of my superpower.

Since starting my tech editing business in 2021, I’ve worked with several different designers on over 100 knitting patterns. I’m always happy to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained from working with many different designers and companies in the industry.

I especially love working with new designers and helping them find their style and navigate the process of publishing their first patterns.
